Oriental Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, tenderized and thinly sliced diagonally across the grain
2 medium thinly sliced onions
1 cup thinly sliced jicama or water chestnuts
1 cup diagonally sliced celery
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 cup hot water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cold water
Directions
In 10" glass skillet heat oil (high) 1 minute.
Add meat.
Microwave (high) 3-4 minutes, stirring once.
Add onions, jicama, celery, soy sauce and bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water.
Microwave (high), covered, 10-12 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Remove vegetables and meat.
Thicken sauce with cornstarch and cold water.
Microwave (high) 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until sauce is thick.
Adjust seasonings.
Pour sauce on meat.
Add meat.
Microwave (high) 3-4 minutes, stirring once.
