Ingredients
10 navel oranges
1 1/3 cups dry white wine
1 10-ounce jar preserved ginger in syrup, undrained
1 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons superfine sugar
1/4 cup diced candied ginger
Directions
Remove zest from 2 oranges using vegetable peeler.
Cut into thinnest possible julienne.
Wrap peel tightly in foil or plastic and refrigerate.
Peel all oranges, removing the white membrane.
Slice thinly.
Transfer orange slices to serving bowl.
Combine wine, preserved ginger (with syrup), orange and lemon juices, and sugar in processor or blender and mix using on/off turns until ginger is finely chopped.
Pour over orange slices and toss gently.
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours (or up to 24).
