Orange Pancake Recipe
Orange pancake is a simple and delightful recipe for a flavorful and light pancake that can be served for breakfast. Baked instead of cooked on the griddle, this orange pancake recipe uses flour, orange juice, milk, orange rind and a dash of whiskey for a warm and comforting morning refreshment.
Ingredients
120 gms.plain flour
100 ml. orange juice
200 ml. milk
1egg
A pinch of salt
4 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. orange rind
1 tbsp. whiskey
Directions
Sift together the flour and salt.
Make a well in the centre and add the egg.
Mix well.
Gradually add the orange juice and milk.
Mix well till smooth.
Mix in the orange rind and whiskey and leave aside for half an hour.
Pre heat the oven on convection at 250° C, with the lightly greased metal tray, placed on the high rack.
Pour spoon fulls of batter, onto the lightly greased metal tray, brush with oil and bake at 250° C for 10:00 minutes.
Turn the pancake over halfway through cooking time and brush again with oil.
Serve the pancakes with fresh fruits and whipped cream, if desired.
