Orange Meringue Pudding Recipe
This orange meringue pudding is prepared with whole oranges and sweet milk. Cooked with milk, the orange meringue pudding has added sugar, eggs and cornstarch. Flavored with vanilla, the orange meringue pudding is browned in the oven.
Ingredients

| 2 1/2 cups sweet milk | ||
| Eggs | 3 , separated | |
| Vanilla | 1 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 5 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup cold sweet milk | ||
| White sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Peel oranges, slice into a baking dish.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar over oranges, let stand while preparing the custard.
Scald 2 1/2 cups milk (do not boil).
Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt, egg yolks and 1/2 cup milk together.
Add to scalding milk stirring well to avoid lumps.
Cook over boiling water until thickened and creamy, flavor with vanilla and pour over the sliced oranges.
Spread on meringue made of the egg whites beaten stiff with the 3 tablespoons white sugar.
Brown lightly at 325F
