Orange Jelly Recipe
This orange jelly recipe can be easily prepared at home with granulated gelatin. Flavored with orange and lemon juice with a little orange rind, the orange jelly is chilled and can be served with a scoop of whipped cream.
Ingredients
| Gelatin | 1 Ounce | |
| Cold water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Boiling water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ice water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange juice | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice- 3 to 4 tablespoons | ||
| A little grated orange-rind (may be omitted) | ||
Directions
MAKING
1.In a bowl, soak gelatin in cold water until soft.
2.Add to boiling water and stir over hot water until thoroughly dissolved.
3.The object of heating only part of the water is to hasten the cooling and solidifying of the gelatin mixture.
4.Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
5.Remove from heat.
6.Add remaining liquids or fruit pulp and mix thoroughly.
7.Pour into molds that have been dipped into cold water.
SERVING
8.Serve with cream
