1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
 
6 cups sifted powdered sugar
 
1/4 cup plus 1 to 2 tablespoons orange juice
 
1 teaspoon orange extract
 
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
 
2 drops red food coloring (optional)
 
3 to 4 drops yellow food coloring (optional)

Directions

Cream butter; add powdered sugar alternately with 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon orange juice.
Add orange extract and orange rind, beat until smooth.
Add more juice, if necessary, to reach desired spreading consistency.
Add food coloring, if desired.
