Orange Bread Recipe
Ingredients
1 egg
1 cup orange juice
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup raisins, chopped
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a loaf pan 9x5x3 inches.
Beat egg, orange juice, oil and vanilla together.
Stir in raisins and orange rind.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar together into first mixture and blend well.
Stir in nuts.
Spoon into pan and bake about 50 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in centre comes out clean.
Turn out on rack to cool.
