Orange Bran Muffins Recipe
Orange Bran Muffins has a beautiful taste. The orange juice and sugar gives the Orange Bran Muffins a two dimensional taste.
Ingredients
1/2 cup whole bran cereal
1/2 cup orange juice
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft shortening
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup drained crushed pineapple
Directions
Mix bran and orange juice; set aside.
Blend flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
Gradually add sugar to shortening, beating well after each addition.
Add egg and beat until light and fluffy.
Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk and bran-orange juice mixture, mixing only until blended after each addition.
Mix in crushed pineapple.
Spoon batter equally into greased 2 1/2 inch muffin-pan wells.
Bake at 400°F about 20 minutes.
