Orange Baked Pears Recipe
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup orange zwieback crumbs (about 4 slices)
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
Few grains mace
Few grains salt
1 can (29 oz.) pear halves, drained (reserve syrup)

Directions
Combine melted butter, crumbs, brown sugar, orange peel, mace, and salt; mix well.
Arrange pears, cut side up, in a shallow baking dish; fill hollows of pears with crumb mixture.3.
Pour 1/2 cup of the reserved pear syrup around pears; cover with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350°F 15 minutes; uncover and bake 15 minutes longer, or until crumbs are browned.
