Orange Spiced Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients
| 4 pork loin chops, each about 1/2 inch thick | ||
| Onion | 1 Small, thinly sliced | |
| Orange peel | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Orange juice | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup medium red wine | ||
| Packed brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |

| Cold water | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Arrange pork chops, meaty parts to outside edges, in square dish, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Arrange onion slices on pork.
2. Mix orange peel, orange juice, wine, brown sugar, cloves and garlic; pour over pork. Cover tightly and microwave on medium (50%) 10 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn after 5 minutes. Arrange orange slices on pork; rotating dish 1/2 turn. Cover and microwave 12 to 15 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn every 5 minutes, until pork is done (170° on meat thermometer).
3. Remove pork to serving platter; keep warm. Pour 1 cup of liquid from dish into 2-cup measure. Mix cornstarch and water; stir into liquid. Cover loosely and microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes or until mixture thickens and boils. Serve pork with sauce on mixture of white and wild rice if desired. Spoon sauce over pork.
