Orange Raisin Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Soda | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sour milk | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange rind, ground | ||
Directions
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs which have been beaten, and mix well.
Mix soda with sour milk; add alternately with flour.
Add ground raisins and orange rind.
Bake in 8" x 8" x 2" greased pan at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes, or until done by touch or toothpick test.
This keeps well.
