Orange Pinwheel Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Orange juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange rind | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| 1 recipe of Baking Powder Biscuits | ||
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Combine butter, orange juice, 1/2 cup sugar and grated rind, and heat just until butter melts and mixture is well blended.
Pour into a baking pan measuring about 6 by 10 by 2 inches.
Roll out biscuit dough 3/8 inch thick, in a 9 x 12 inch rectangle, and sprinkle with the 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon mixed together.
Roll up as for jelly roll and cut into 10 equal slices.
Lay slices close together in the orange syrup, cut side down.
Bake in a hot oven (425° F.) for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
