Orange Pecan Cookies Recipe
Ingredients

| Packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Orange rind | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 3/4 cups Gold Medal Flour | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pecans | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |

Directions
Mix shortening, sugar, egg(s), rind, and vanilla.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend flour, salt, and soda; stir in.
Stir in pecans.
Form into rolls 2 1/2" across.
Wrap in waxed paper.
Chill until firm.
Heat oven to 400°
Slice 1/8" thic
