Orange-Nut Refrigerator Cookies Recipe
Orange-Nut Refrigerator Cookies is an amazingly easy to prepare recipe which cannot just escape your guest's attention in any party. The deadly combination of fruit and nuts will get you a lot of compliments for your creativity.
Ingredients
| Butter margarine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Orange peel | 2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley minced |
Directions
Mix together butter and sugars until blended; add egg and beat until fluffy.
Stir in orange peel.
Sift flour, measure, and mix with the soda, salt, and nuts; add in small portions to butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Divide dough in half and shape each into a roll 7 inches long and 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper; chill until firm.
Cut into slices about 1/8 inch thick.
Bake on greased cooky sheets in a 375° oven for 12 minutes, or until edges are very lightly browned.
