 All-purpose flour - 2 cups

 Baking soda1 Teaspoon (FOR ORANGE COOKIE MIX:)
 Ground cinnamon1 Teaspoon (FOR ORANGE COOKIE MIX:)
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon (FOR ORANGE COOKIE MIX:)
 Quick-cooking oats - 2 cups
 Corn flakes2 Cup (16 tbs) (FOR ORANGE COOKIE MIX:)
 Orange Cookie Mix - 2 cups
 Egg1 (FOR THE COOKIE:)
 Grated orange rind - 2 to 3 teaspoons
 Orange juice1 Tablespoon (FOR THE COOKIE:)
 Walnuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (FOR THE COOKIE:)

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

MAKING
2. To make the Orange Cookie Mix : In a large bowl, add sugar; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
3. In a different bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, oats and cornflakes. Mix well.
4. Mix into sugar mixture. Cover and store in refrigerator till use.
5. To make the Cookies: In a bowl, combine Orange Cookie Mix, egg, orange rind, orange juice and walnuts.
6. Using your hands, shape dough into 1-inch balls.
7. Keep them about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

SERVING
9. Serve right away or store in an airtight container.
