Orange Marmalade Bread Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
| 5 slices day-old bread, toasted | ||
| Softened butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Orange marmalade | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 eggs, slightly beaten | ||
| Milk | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Cream or lemon sauce | ||
Directions
Spread the slices of toast (do not remove crusts) with all the butter and marmalade.
Cut bread in cubes and turn into buttered 6-cup casserole.
Mix eggs with milk, lemon juice and nutmeg, and pour over the toast cubes.
Bake in a slow oven (300° F.) for 45 minutes, or until custard tests done.
Serve warm or cold, with cream or Lemon Sauce.
