Orange Glazed Bananas Recipe
Ingredients
4 large firm bananas
3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup orange juice
4 teaspoons grated orange rind
3/4 teaspoon ginger
1 quart vanilla ice cream
Directions
Peel and cut bananas in half lengthwise and then cross wise.
Heat butter in blazer pan over moderate heat and add brown sugar, orange juice, rind and ginger and stir to blend.
Heat until bubbly.
Add bananas and heat 3 to 5 minutes, stirring and basting.
