Orange Bread Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
3/4 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg beaten
1/2 c. raisins
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. orange rind
Directions
1. Wash and dry raisins if necessary.
2. Grate the orange rind, and squeeze and measure the juice.
3. Sift first four dry ingredients together twice.
4. Add the raisins.
5. Combine the liquid ingredients and the grated orange rind.
6. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients stirring only until moistened.
7. Turn into greased pan and bake.
8. Cool 2 hours before slicing.
