Orange Almond Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Juice concentrate | 1 Can (10oz), frozen | |
| Confectioner’s sugar | 1 Pound, sifted | |
| Vanilla wafers | 1 box | |
| Blanched almonds | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup toasted, blanched almonds, chopped fine, or 1 cup toasted or colored flaked coconut, chocolate jimmies, colored sugar, or decorettes | ||
Directions
Heat butter and orange concentrate in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter melts.
Off heat, mix in confectioners' sugar.
Crush vanilla wafers in an electric blender at high speed or with a rolling pin; add to mixture along with sliced almonds and mix well.
Shape into 1" balls and roll in toasted almonds.
Arrange on a tray or baking sheet and chill 2-3 hours before serving.
Store airtight and, if weather is warm, in refrigerator.
