Directions

Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and salt in sauce- pan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Cook to 234 degrees on candy thermometer or soft- ball stage.
Remove from heat.
Add butter; cool to lukewarm, without stirring.
Add almond flavoring; beat until thickened and no longer glossy.
Pour into buttered 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Cool; cut into squares.
