Open Face Tangy Sardine Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
| Canned skinless and boneless sardines - 4 ounces, drained | ||
| Dill pickle | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Reduced-calorie mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon | ||
| Onion | 1 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Dijon-style mustard - 1/4 teaspoon | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Enriched white bread - 1 slice | ||
| Iceberg or Romaine lettuce leaf - 1 | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) Mash the sardines in a small bowl with the help of a fork.
2) Add the mayonnaise, pickle, mustard, onion and lemon juice. Mix well.
3) On the bread, spread the sardine mixture. Top with the lettuce leaf.
SERVING
4) Serve as preferred.
