Ingredients

 
11/2 lbs. small pickling onions
 
11/2 lbs. tomato paste
 
1 cup seedless raisins
 
4 tblspn, oil
 
1/2 cup tarragon vinegar
 
1/2 bay leaf
 
2 tblspn, parsley
 
1 tblspn, brown sugar
 
Salt, pepper

Directions

Heat oil in a skillet, add peeled onions and glaze for 10 minutes.
Add all the other ingredients and cook gently until onions are tender.
Can be served hot or cold as an hours d'oeuvre if chilled.
