Onion Custard Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 6 Medium, sliced | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Pinch | |
| Pinch of nutmeg or curry powder | ||
Directions
In a frying pan melt butter, add onions; stir until well-coated with butter and saute until golden brown.
Combine remaining ingredients, and add to onions.
Pour into a buttered one quart casserole dish.
Bake, uncovered, at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until set like a custard.
Excellent with seafood, veal or fowl.
