Onion Chutney Recipe

Very easy to prepare.

Ingredients

 
Pearl onions - 10 to 15
 
Garlic cloves - 4 to 6
 
Red Chillies(dried) - 6 to 8
 
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
 
Urad dhal - 1 teaspoon
 
Cooking Oil
 
Salt to taste

Directions

Peel off the Pearl Onions.

Heat little oil in pan. Add mustard seeds. Fry till it splutters. Now add urad dhal, garlic cloves, red chillies and onions(in order, one by one).

Fry till it turns light brown in colour. Add salt as it fries. Make sure it is not over fried.

Grind the mixture finely using a mixer.

Now onion chutney is ready. Serve with Idli or Dosa.
