Onion Stuffed Pork Roast Recipe
Ingredients
| Pork shoulder | 1 | |
| Onion | 1 | |
| Marjoram Leaf - 1/2,crumbled | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Corn Cereal - 1cup, coarsely crushed | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Hot water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Debone the pork shoulder to make a cavity
MAKING
2) Into a frying pan, dab in butter and saute the onion and marjoram till tender
3) Stuff the mea pocket with the onion
4) Seal the pocket and tie the meat with string
5) Rub mustard on the top and sides of the meat
6) Fat side, place the meat onto a shallow pan
7) Roast in the oven at 325 F for 3 1/2 hours
8) Mix together the crushed cereal, brown sugar, cinnamon, honey and hot water into a bowl
9) Take out the roast and cut the string off and press the cereal mixture onto the top of the meat and into the cuts with a fork
10) Roast the meat again for an additional 30 minutes till crispy brown
SERVING
11) Serve the pork hot into 1/4 inch slices and serve with some gravy
