Onion Soup In Microwave Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 3 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 6 envelopes instant beef broth or 6 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled | ||
| Hot water | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon brown bouquet sauce | ||
| 6 2-inch rounds toasted French bread | ||
| Parmesan cheese | ||
Directions
1. Place butter in a 3-quart non-metallic casserole and melt in Microwave Oven 30 (40) seconds.
2 Add onions and heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 4 (5) minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
3. Add salt, pepper, instant beef broth, water and brown bouquet sauce.
4. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 25 (32) minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Pour into heat-resistant non-metallic soup bowls and float a round of French bread in each bowl. Sprinkle liberally with Parmesan cheese.
6. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 to 4 (4 to 5) minutes or until cheese has melted.
