Cheese Onion Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions | 3 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 10 3/4-ounce cans beef broth | ||
| Slices of toasted French bread | ||
| Shredded Swiss cheese | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parmesan cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
Directions
1. Combine onions and butter in a 3-quart glass casserole. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 10) for 6 to 8 minutes, or until onions are very soft, stirring twice.
2. Add beef broth and cover. Set microwave oven at Time Cook (power level 10) for 4 minutes, and then Time Cook (power level 7) for 10 minutes. Stir once after 3 minutes.
3. Ladle soup into 4 individual bowls. Cover with bread slices and sprinkle with the two cheeses. Microwave at Time Cook (power level 9) for 7 to 10 minutes, or until cheese melts and bubbles, rotating the bowls 1/4 turn twice.
