Ingredients
1tbsp oil
1 medium sized finely chopped onion
1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
1/4 cup peas
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1tbsp coriander powder
1tbsp cumin powder
salt to taste
Directions
1. Heat oil in a deep bottom pan and add the onions
2. Stir fry the onions till golden brown
3. Add the green chillies, peas and 1/2 cup water
4. Cover the pan with lid and cook the onions for 5-6 minutes
5. Add the rice, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder and water
6. Cook the rice till the water evaporates completely
7. Simmer the rice on low heat till done
8. Server hot with kachris, mangoes, curd, vegetables like Sai Bhaji
