Onion And Cheese Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup chopped mild onions | ||
| All purpose flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Milk | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 8 ounces sharp process American cheese, shredded | ||
| Toasted bread rounds, buttered and topped with Parmesan cheese | ||
Directions
Melt butter; cook onion till tender but not brown.
Blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
Add milk all at once.
Cook, stirring constantly, till mixture thickens and bubbles.
Add cheese; stir to melt.
Float toast rounds, garnished with olive slices, atop.
