One Skillet Green Pepper and Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 pound round steak, sliced diagonally into 1/8-inch strips | ||
| 1 to 2 green peppers, cut into thin strips 1 inch long | ||
| Freshly steamed rice | ||
Directions
Combine water and cornstarch in small bowl and blend well.
Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add meat and brown until no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
Push meat to sides of skillet.
Pour cornstarch mixture into center and stir until thickened.
Blend in meat.
Add green pepper and mix well.
Cover and cook until pepper is crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
Spoon meat mixture over rice and serve.
