One Dish Chow Mein Recipe
Ingredients
| Celery stalks | 3 Small, sliced | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 cups cut-up cooked chicken or turkey | ||
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup uncooked regular rice | ||
| Cream of chicken soup | 1 Can (10oz), condensed | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Mushroom | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| 1 jar (2 ounces) diced pimiento, drained | ||
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cook and stir celery and onion in oil in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with chow mein noodles if desired.
