One Day At A Time Pickles Recipe
Ingredients
| Cucumbers | 1 Quart | |
| Water | 2 Quart | |
| Cider vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Kosher salt | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 4 Clove (5gm), peeled | |
| Pepper red | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 3 large heads fresh dill or 3 teaspoons dill seed | ||
Directions
Place unscrubbed, firm cucumbers in iced water for 30 minutes.
Scrub off dirt and remove any particles of blossoms.
Meanwhile, sterilize one quart jar and lid.
In a small, stainless steel pan, bring vinegar, salt, water, garlic, and pickling spices, to a boil.
When mixture boils, remove garlic and place cucumbers in sterile jar with dill, packing carefully, so no cucumbers will touch the lid.
Pour vinegar solution over cucumbers to within 1/2 inch of the top of the jar, wipe rim of jar, seal, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
Store jar in a dark place for at least 2 weeks before serving.
