White onions- 1/2 peck
 
Salt- to taste
 
Mustard seed- 3 ounces
 
Allspice- 1 ounce
 
Brown sugar- 1 pound
 
Doves- 1 ounce
 
Dry mustard- 1 tablespoon
 
Water- 1/4 cup
 
Black pepper- 1 tablespoon
 
Celery seed- 1 ounce
 
Vinegar- 1 quart

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by chopping the tomatoes and onions
MAKING
2.Sprinkle the tomatoes and onions with salt, and let stand 3 hours.
3.Drain well and combine pulp with the other ingredients except vinegar.
4.Cover with vinegar, and boil slowly 1 hour.
5.Seal in clean hot jars.
SERVING
6.Serve with any appetizer
