Old Time Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe

In separate bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; with wooden spoon, blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in oats, raisins, and nuts (if using).
Roll heaping teaspoonfuls (5 mL) of batter into small balls; place on greased baking sheets 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
With moistened hands, gently flatten cookie to about 1/2-inch (1 cm) thickness.
Bake in 350Ã‚Â°F (180Ã‚Â°C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden and still soft in center.
Transfer immediately to racks and let cool.
Makes about 6 dozen.
