Old Time Nutmeg Hermits Recipe

| All-purpose flour | 4 Cup (64 tbs), sifted | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Seedless raisins | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped |

Directions
1)In a bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2)Add eggs and beat.
3)In a bowl, sift together flour, soda, nutmeg and salt.
4)Mix it with creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
5)Add raisins and nuts and mix.
6)Take lightly-greased baking sheets and drop spoonsful of batter on it.
7)Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
SERVING
8)Serve cookies as desired.
