Butter-1 pound, (2 cups)
 
Cake flour- 1 pound sifted, (4 cups)
 
Eggs- 10, separated
 
Sugar-1 pound, (2 cups)
 
Vanilla- 1 teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 325F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, cream butter, work in flour until mixture is mealy.
3.Beat egg yolks, vanilla and half the sugar until thick and lemon colored; beat thoroughly into first mixture.
4.Beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gradually beat in rest of sugar; fold into batter; stir until blended.
5.Pour into 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 I/2 inch) loaf pans, greased and lined.
6.Bake in the oven for 1/4 hours.
SERVING
7.Serve with tea or coffee
