8 cups fine fairly dry crumbs
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery leaves
2-3 teaspoons poultry seasoning or combination of savory and sage
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
