Ingredients

 
8 cups fine fairly dry crumbs
 
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
 
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
 
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery leaves
 
2-3 teaspoons poultry seasoning or combination of savory and sage
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Combine ingredients thoroughly.
Taste, and adjust seasonings.
Moisten, if necessary.
Stuff lightly into neck and body cavities of turkey, and close openings.
Increase or reduce recipe to suit size of bird to be stuffed.
(Makes about 8 cups or enough for a 12-15-pound bird.)
