Whole bran cereal-7 cups
Milk-3/4 cup
Eggs-7
Shortening-1/4 cup, soft
All-purpose flour-1 cup, sifted
Baking powder-2 1/2 teaspoons
Salt-1/2 teaspoon
Sugar-1/4 cup
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, add cereal and milk and leave it to moisten.
2)Add egg and shortening and beat well.
3)In another bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
4)Add this mixture to cereal mixture. Mix only until combined.
5)Take greased muffin pans and fill until 2/3 full.
6)Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.
SERVING
7)Serve the old fashioned bran muffins hot.
