Ingredients
4 cups grated raw sweet potatoes
1 cup Georgia cane syrup, or substitute
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup rich sweet milk
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 tablespoon allspice and cinnamon (mixed)
Directions
In a heavy iron skillet melt the butter.
Mix all ingredients, adding the beaten eggs last.
Pour into the hot pan with butter; stir until heated.
Put in moderate oven to bake (in skillet) at 375 degrees.
As a crust forms around the edge and bottom, stir.
Do these several times while baking.
Bake 40 minutes.
