Ingredients

 Shrimp1 pound, canned
 Tomato sauce2 Can (10oz)
 Water16 Ounce
 Onion1 Medium, thinly sliced
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), pressed
 Tomatoes - 3 large, diced in small pieces
 Lemon1
 Lime1/2
 Garlic salt1 Teaspoon
 Pepper1 Teaspoon
 Bay leaf1
 Thyme1/2 Teaspoon
 Parsley2 Tablespoon, chopped

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Drain the canned shrimp into a colander.
2. Rinse under cold tap water to get rid of excess saltiness.
3. Place in a bowl of water and keep aside.

MAKING
4. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine Tomato sauce and water and stir to blend well.
5. Add the remaining ingredients except the chopped parsley and stir.
6. Place pan on a medium high heat and bring liquid to a boil, stirring occasionally.
7. Reduce heat to low and let the soup simmer to blend the flavors.
8. Drain the soaked shrimps and tip them into the simmering soup.
9. Simmer for a few minutes more.
10. Remove and discard the bay leaf.

SERVING
11. Ladle the hot soupand shrimp into soup bowls.
12. Serve with crusty bread.
