2 cups pecan pieces
Butter or margarine
1 tablespoon shortening
1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels

Melt caramels in milk over low heat; stir in pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto buttered wax paper.
Chill.
Melt shortening and chocolate morsels in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat; dip candy into chocolate, and return to wax paper.
