Old Fashioned Hot Biscuits Recipe

Old Fashioned Hot Biscuits has a lovely taste. Old Fashioned Hot Biscuits gets its taste from flour mixed with milk, garnished with sugar and salt. Old Fashioned Hot Biscuits is served with tea all over the world.

Ingredients

 
2 cups flour
 
2 teaspoons baking powder
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
6 level tablespoons lard
 
1 teaspoon sugar
 
1 cup sweet milk

Directions

Sift flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder into a mixing bowl.
With the edge of a large kitchen spoon cut the lard into the flour until it is the size of large peas.
This should be done lightly with a scooping motion, lifting some of the flour with each stroke rather than mashing the lard into the flour.
Then stir in the milk.
Cover a board with flour and roll the ball of dough out 1/2 inch thick.
Cut out biscuits with the top of a can or a biscuit cutter, and place in a greased baking pan.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes in a 500° oven, until brown.
