Old Fashioned Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Cocoa | 2 Ounce | |
| Milk | 1/2 Pint | |
| 2 tablespoons liquid glucose | ||
| Butter | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
The right degree of heat is essential for success in this economical delicious fudge; a sweets thermometer is necessary.
Combine sugar, salt, cocoa, milk and glucose in saucepan, stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat, boil rapidly until mixture reaches 234°F.
Remove from heat, add butter, allow to cool to 110°F.
Add vanilla, beat until fudge loses its gloss and starts to change colour.
Immediately pour into greased and lined 8 in. sandwich tin, cut into squares when cold.
