Old Fashioned Bread Pudding Recipe
|Vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling||3 Ounce (1 Package, 4 Serving Size)|
|Sugar||4 Tablespoon, divided|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs), divided|
|Raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated lemon peel||2 Tablespoon|
|Spread sticks||1 Tablespoon|
|Day old white bread slices||6 , cut into cubes|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|

Gradually stir in 2 cups of the milk.
Add raisins and lemon peel.
Stirring constantly, cook on medium heat until mixture comes to full boil.
Remove from heat; stir in spread and vanilla.
Pour remaining 1 cup milk over bread cubes in large bowl to moisten.
Stir in pudding mixture.
Pour into 1-quart baking dish.
Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sprinkle over pudding.
Broil 2 to 3 inches from heat 4 minutes or until sugar mixture is lightly browned and bubbly.
