Old Fashioned Bread Pudding Recipe
I am sure you wouldn't mind getting hooked to this Old Fashioned Bread Pudding recipe. Fruits is the most important ingredient in Old Fashioned Bread Pudding. Ingredients
1 package (4-serving size) Vanilla Flavor Pudding & Pie Filling
4 tablespoons sugar, divided
3 cups milk., divided
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons grated lemon peel (optional)
1 tablespoon Spread Sticks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 slices day-old white bread, cut into cubes
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
Mix pudding mix and 2 tablespoons of the sugar in large saucepan.
Gradually stir in 2 cups of the milk.
Add raisins and lemon peel.
Stirring constantly, cook on medium heat until mixture comes to full boil.
Remove from heat; stir in spread and vanilla.
Pour remaining 1 cup milk over bread cubes in large bowl to moisten.
Stir in pudding mixture.
Pour into 1-quart baking dish.
Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sprinkle over pudding.
Heat broiler.
Broil 2 to 3 inches from heat 4 minutes or until sugar mixture is lightly browned and bubbly.
