Old Fashioned Apple Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 green apples, peeled and sliced | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats | ||
| Plain flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Walnuts | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped | |
| Butter | 125 Gram | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Arrange apples in slightly overlapping layer over base of large greased baking dish.
Sprinkle evenly with sugar, pour over orange juice.
Combine oats, sifted flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts in bowl, mix well.
Heat butter and honey in pan, add to oats, mix well.
Sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake in moderate oven 40 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
