Ingredients

 
1 quart okra pods
 
1 cup rice
 
1/2 No. 2 can tomatoes
 
1 onion, sliced
 
2 tablespoons butter or fortified margarine
 
Salt and pepper
 
Sprinkle of paprika

Directions

Wash the rice and cook in boiling salted water until tender.
Drain, and add butter, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cut the okra in slices and cook in a small quantity of boiling water.
When nearly done, add the tomatoes, onion, and rice.
Serve hot.
