Oatmeal Nut Bread Recipe
Oatmeal nut bread is a healthy and snacky bread that is made delicious with pitted dates and molasses. Baked with sour cream, flour, nuts and sugar the oatmeal nut bread is good to go.
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/3 cup dark molasses | ||
| Pitted dates | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
Directions
Heat oven to 350°.
Line a greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan with waxed paper, grease again.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into mixing bowl.
Add oatmeal.
Put egg, sugar, sour cream and molasses into Osterizer container, cover and process at MIX until smooth and well blended.
Push BLEND button and remove cover; add dates and nuts and continue to process until dates are chopped.
Empty into dry ingredients and stir well.
Fill prepared pan and bake 45 to 55 minutes.
