Directions

In a large bowl, combine the oats and boiling water, stirring until well mixed.
Cool for about 2 hours.
In another bowl sift together pastry flour, baking powder, salt, and dry milk.
Add the butter and honey to the oatmeal mixture.
Mix well with a wooden spoon.
In a small bowl, beat 1 egg with 2/3 cup water.
Add the flour mixture.
Then add this mixture to the oatmeal mixture until combined.
Do not overmix.
Turn into an oiled loaf pan.
Bake at 350 Degree for 70 minutes, until the crust is golden.
Turn onto rack to cool.
Eat while warm or toasted with honey butter.
