Oatmeal Fruit Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
3/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. rolled oats
1/4 c. milk
1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. cut up candied cherries (or cut-up mixed fruit)
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions
Cream butter, sugar and eggs until well blended.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Add to butter and egg mixture.
Mix well, adding only enough milk to make a dough that is easy to handle.
Mix in fruits and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonsful on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 8 to 12 minutes or until browned.
