 Butter margarine1 Cup (16 tbs)
 White sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1
 Rolled oats1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soda1 Teaspoon
 Cloves1/2 Teaspoon
 Grated rind of 1 orange
 Vanilla1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

Mix well and drop small teaspoonsful on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a wet fork.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 300°.
Remove at once to cake rack - should be quite thin and very crisp.
